Richard M. Beane

Mr. Beane is a cofounder of Correx and a coauthor of the patent for the Correx 18 MM AVB Kit. Mr. Beane has participated in the medical device industry for over 30 years, contributing to development, commercialization and project management. At the University of Massachusetts Medical School, he served as Director of Research at the UMass Center for Medical Device Research. Mr. Beane has been the founder or cofounder of several medical device companies. He holds many medical device patents.

John W. Brown, MD

Dr. Brown is a cofounder of Correx and a coauthor of the patent for the Correx 18 MM AVB Kit. He has contributed over 35 years of clinical expertise and case history to the development of surgical tools customized for Aortic Valve Bypass. Dr. Brown participated in the development of the Hancock LV Connector and Hancock Valved Conduit that are still used today in Aortic Valve Bypass surgery. He also developed the procedure used by many surgeons today to perform Aortic Valve Bypass. Recognized as a pioneer in Apicoaortic Valved Conduits for application in children with congenital heart defects, Dr. Brown extended use of the procedure to high-risk adults with aortic stenosis. He has trained surgeons at leading medical institutions to perform the procedure. Dr. Brown is Harris B. James S. Gammie, MD

Dr. Gammie is a cofounder of Correx and a coauthor of the patent for the Correx 18 MM AVB Kit. Dr. Gammie has emerged as a leading clinical specialist in the use of Aortic Valve Bypass to treat high-risk patients with critical aortic stenosis. He has published a series of ground-breaking papers detailing his clinical experience with AVB at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Dr. Gammie is recognized as an authority on minimally-invasive treatment of cardiac heart valve disease at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Dr. Gammie regularly trains other surgeons to perform Aortic Valve Bypass. He is Associate Professor of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical School. Previously, he was Assistant Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the director of the heart transplantation program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. James S. Gammie, MD
